Depending on what market you are in, the local authority having jurisdiction may require you to have flood vents in your parking garage door to allow water to flow in and out in the event of a dangerous flood or storm.

Exploring New Orleans Through Its Doors, Architecture, and Street Scenes
New Orleans is not only a city with lots of food, art and culture but it's also a city with lots of diverse architecture and doors.
On a recent family trip to New Orleans I saw great examples of what doormen and women do in another tourist city. I have found learning what is done in other cities helps me support customers in the metro NYC and NJ area. Check out my photos of New Orleans!

Have you considered putting a hollow metal door in your rolling door opening? A pass swinging door, also known as a pedestrian wicket door, can add a lot of flexibility to your facility. In the Metro NYC NJ area, slanted or sloped sidewalks & driveways is common. When we install rolling doors for slanted floors, we have a way to accommodate the slope and still make a tight seal on the floor. Crooked sidewalk and floor problems can be resolved by installing sloping bottom bars in the rolling doors. We can help reduce water leakage into the building with larger bottom weather seals.
It is important to do a quality site measurement to be sure you have enough headroom for a sloped roll up gate. You need to consider that the excess steel in the slope needs to hid behind the header as it cannot roll up into the coil of the coiling door. Therefore additional headroom is required for the coiling slats to clear the opening height.
Sloping rolling gates can be powder-coated in many colors. The roll down doors can have security slide bolts with interlock motor integration. You have the ability to integrate safety features like photo eyes and light curtains.
