A pass swinging door, also known as a [pedestrian wicket door](https://www.overhead-doors.com/commercial-doors/commercial-passthrough-doors-photo-gallery), can add a lot of flexibility to your facility. Instead of opening the entire rolling door every time someone needs to walk in or out, a smaller swinging door allows easy access for foot traffic, helping you maintain energy efficiency and reduce heat or cooling loss. The door pictured below shows a great example of this in action. At Cafe Grumpy in Park Slope, Brooklyn, the swinging pass door allows employees to receive small shipments of raw materials efficiently, while still keeping the facility secure. This setup prevents unnecessary wear and tear on the main rolling door, streamlines daily operations, and ensures that employees don’t have to struggle with lifting or opening heavy doors just for foot traffic. You can find them in hotels, hospitals, and now even boutique coffee roasters, where controlling traffic flow and maintaining security are important. They’re perfect for situations where you need a small opening for people without compromising the main door’s function. Installing a [pass swinging door in a rolling door opening](https://www.overhead-doors.com/photo-gallery-sectional-door-with-pass-through-door) is a small change that offers big benefits. It improves workflow, enhances security, and keeps your building energy-efficient, all while making life easier for employees. Whether you run a busy warehouse, a café, or any facility with rolling doors, this practical addition is worth considering.
