Many times, customers want the beauty and full vision aluminum overhead doors during the day, but prefer to install also a rolling steel door for additional security during closed hours.
David Stark Studios in Industry City, Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY opted for an Aluminum 521 Series Sectional Door (motorized) mounted on the interior with an insulated Rolling Steel Fire Rated Door (635 Series) on the exterior. See below for photos.
Below you will see the aluminum glass garage door installed with a trolley motor operator. Behind the glass, you can notice the rolling fire door for extra security that was also installed.

This is the Victoria Fire Station #6. This rolling steel door was used on the exterior to give a greater windload than the standard full vision aluminum glass gararge door. The rolling steel door only is closed during wind events.
