Non-insulated & insulated metal slat coiling doors/rolling service doors are offered by Overhead Door Company of the Meadowlands & NYC. Constructed of galvanized steel, stainless steel or aluminum in a variety of slat profiles, finishes and options. These strong, durable flat and curved slatted metal coiling doors are designed for ultimate security. Available in various mounting configurations to accommodate almost any size opening.

Coiling Door Model 620, Slat F-265

- Standard doors are designed to meet 20psf (90mph to 110mph) wind resistance.
- Higher wind load and seismic validation available.
- Perimeters’ sealing are designed to reduce air leakage and keep climate-controlled air in and the elements out.
- Extra heavy-duty slats fabricated of galvanized steel in up to 14 gauge with a curved profile
- Designed but not limited to oversized applications where herculean size and strength are required.

Insulated Metal Slat Overhead Rolling Doors

Insulated rolling service doors are used when durability, security, overall performance and thermal efficiency are required.

- Standard door is designed for 20psf (90mph to 110mph) wind resistance.
- Perimeters’ sealing are designed to reduce air leakage and keep climate-controlled air in and the elements out.
- Roll-formed flat slats sandwich CFC and HCFC free polyurethane insulation to provide extra protection against the elements with R-values up to 10.9, U-Factor of no higher than 1.00, through curtain STC up to 28, and install STC up to 21.
- Weather seals reduce the number of air exchanges between two climate/temperature-controlled environments through a fenestration assembly, such as door or window. When it comes to perimeter sealing more is found to be better.
- When selecting an insulated door, it is important to review IECC (International Energy Conservation Code) requirements.
- Calculated R-value (also known as U-value) is an ASHRAE calculation of the thermal resistance property of a material.
- Tested U-factor provides actual installed door energy transfer resistance and solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC). Energy transfer is the exchange of energy between two climate-controlled environments. Solar heat gain coefficient is the amount of solar heat being absorbed by the door system. Generally, finish or color with high solar reflectance (bright colors) will provide lower solar heat gain coefficient and therefore lower U-factor. Lower tested U-factor provides lower energy transfer and lower solar heat gain.
