Overhead Door Company of The Meadowlands & NYC Receives Humanitarian Award
Overhead Door Company of The Meadowlands & NYC is not only passionate about selling, servicing or installing commercial doors and loading dock equipment. We are a company that is also passionate about always doing the right thing for our customers, our people and also our community.
We're very proud to share with you that the 2013 IDA Humanitarian of the Year was awarded to us for our Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
Thanks to the amazing support of the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce and also our 220 volunteers, last year we were able to raise over $20,000 and delivered over 600 Thanksgiving meals to those families affected by Hurricane Sandy.
We received this prestigious award at this year’s International Door Association’s (IDA) President’s Award Banquet. During the banquet they played the following video, and at the end, Jai and Chuck Patel received the award with a standing ovation.
Finally, we just want to give credit to the Meadowlands Chamber of Commerce, every single one of the volunteers and all the people that donated their time and/or money, for making The Meadowands Basket Brigade a success. Without their support, this would had never been possible.
