At the end of this course you will be able to:

1. Impart an overview of what dock equipment is, how it is used and why it is used.
2. Demonstrate basic differences between differing types of dock equipment available.
3. Learn some essential data to be considered for planning a safe, effective and efficient loading dock.
4. Participants will learn common types of dock equipment from dock levelers to bridge the gap between carrier and dock to vehicle restraints that assist in movement prevention in the loading/unloading cycle and finally ways and means to aid in environmental control at the dock.
